THE VALUES OF KAC ARE:

We value the Preaching and Teaching of Scriptures.

The foundation of our church and our lives are the Holy Word of God. As disciples, we are called to live in obedience to the Scriptures. We cannot do so, unless we first know and learn what the Bible teaches. Therefore, it is mandatory that we put a strong emphasis on the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. We especially lift up the gospel and the cross as central to our ministry.

We value Worship.

The Great Commandment calls us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. In worship we express our love for God. We begin each week with a corporate worship gathering to exalt Christ for who He is, and what He has done. We continue a life of worship throughout the week, at home and at work. We believe the mission to make disciples is also the mission to make worshipers, that is to introduce people to the majesty and glory of the King.

We value Prayer.

We want everything we do to have God’s blessing and anointing. We do not want to do things with our own wisdom and ability. Therefore, we rely on God through prayer. We believe that nothing can be accomplished, that is of God, without faithful diligence in prayer. Conversely we believe that all things are possible when we pray in Christ’s name, and in His will.

We value Family.

We believe that the strength of a church and society are strong family units. We value each member of the family, and the unique and important role each person plays in the family and in our church. Our children and youth are not secondary members of our church, but the life and joy of our church. We commit to serving them and raising them in accordance with His Word.

We value Fellowship and Community.

We thank God for the gift of fellowship and community. We believe that people long to have genuine fellowship, and to be in a caring community. We want to provide that need through an authentic biblical community that is characterized by the sharing of “life-together.” As Christ prayed in John 17, we believe that our love and unity will draw people to the gospel.

We value People who do not know Christ, or are far from Christ.

People matter to God. They matter enough for God to send His Son, and for Christ to come and sacrifice His life on the cross. People must matter to us as well, especially those who do not yet know Christ, and those who have fallen away from Christ. As Christ taught us in Luke 15, we must be willing to leave the ninety-nine, in order to find the lost one. We must become focused outward, and intentionally reach out to those who do not yet know Him.

We value Team Ministry.

We humbly realize that no one person or handful of people can fulfill all the duties of a healthy and growing ministry. We believe we must do ministry together. Therefore, we believe in team ministry. We believe it is vital for the health of a church that each person discover their gifts and passion, and use them as part of a ministry team for the building up of Christ’s body.

We value Giving and Stewardship.

We believe in being good stewards of all the blessings God has given to us individually, and as a church. We value the giving of our time, our finances, and our resources to our community and beyond in Christ’s name. We must continue to extend Christ’s love to all those in need. We want to be Christ’s hands and feet to our neighbors. In our giving and stewardship, we want to point them to the greatest gift of all, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
